Working cap
The 2026 NFL cap is $301.2 million. Unused 2025 space and other adjustments raise Arizona's working number to $328.1 million. That is the line the sheet subtracts from.
What counts
In season the 53-man, injured reserve, PUP, practice-squad pay, and dead money all count against the working number.
Offseason counting uses only the top 51 contracts. Once the regular season starts, all 53 count.
Dead money
Dead money is leftover bonus proration and guarantees for players no longer on the roster. Cutting a player does not erase money already promised.
Signing bonuses prorate over up to five years. The rest accelerates if the player is cut or traded.
Kyler Murray is $46,568,966 of the $81,333,173 dead. That is the post-June 1 remainder of his release.
Wilson note
Michael Wilson signed a three-year, $75 million extension on Sep 3. The 2026 cap hit is $6,216,691. 2027 is $20,945,000. Projected 2027 space is $114 million plus before a new quarterback.
